Two police officers have been injured and a patrol car damaged following a pursuit which began in the Markethill area in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A PSNI spokesperson said officers from the Armagh, Banbridge and Craigavon district had signalled for a red van to stop, but the driver failed to do so, prompting a pursuit.
Specialist units from Road Policing Interceptors in Sprucefield and Mahon Road, Portadown were called to assist.
“The vehicle was successfully stung using a Stinger device,” police said.
“However, it then rammed the rear of an Interceptor vehicle while officers were attempting to bring it to a stop.”
As a result, two officers sustained injuries, and the police vehicle was taken out of service pending repairs.
A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, failing to provide a roadside preliminary breath test, and obstruction.
He has since been released on bail to allow for further enquiries.
