Ten-day-old calf stolen in broad daylight in Poyntzpass

Police are appealing for information following the theft of a 10-day-old calf from a field in Poyntzpass.

The incident happened on the Rock Meeting Road on Thursday morning.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “We are currently investigating the theft of a 10-day-old Cattle from the vicinity of Rock Meeting Road, Poyntzpass, which occurred between around 10am and 11.30am on Thursday.

“A blue Mitsubishi Shogun was seen in the area, however, witnesses were unable to obtain a registration.

“If you saw anything suspicious in the area at this time please call 101 and quote 943 of 04/10/18.”
