The eye-catching ring was taken from the property on the evening of October 22 along with several other items of gold jewellery.

Appealing for its safe return, the owner, Marbeth posted via her Facebook page, ‘Markethill Affordable Fashion’: “I know this is a long shot but I’ve nothing to loose. My fabulous sapphire and diamond ring was stolen from our home along with other gold jewellery on Wednesday night.

“If by any chance you are offered it for sale or hear of something similar for sale please pm me.”

And the ring could very well could become ‘too hot to handle’ as her appeal has now received almost 700 shares on social media.
