One car recovered but BMW still missing following burglary at home outside Markethill

Police are appealing for information following a burglary in the Rockstown Road area of Mowhan, near Markethill.

Between approximately 10pm on Thursday, December 10 and 8am on Friday, December 11, a property was entered and laptops and cash were stolen.

Cash was also taken from an outhouse and two vehicles were stolen. One was later recovered but a silver BMW 320 is still missing.

Constable McDonagh said: “We would like to encourage anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area at this time to please get in contact by calling 101, quoting the reference number 396 of 11/12/20.

“I also want to urge residents to ensure their property is always secured and encourage them to be on their guard against potential theft.”
