A driver escaped with minor injuries after a serious one-vehicle collision on the Gosford Road outside Markethill in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Police in Armagh say they received a report at around 3am on Saturday, February 14, of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the Gosford Road.
The vehicle – which suffered significant frontal damage – remained at the scene on Saturday afternoon, with debris visible on the roadside.
A PSNI spokesperson confirmed that only minor injuries have been reported at this time.
Earlier this week, this stretch of road was again in the headlines amid ongoing safety concerns.
The Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins, in responding to DUP MLA Garet hWilson, signalled a willingness to work with other stakeholders, including local council and the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs, to examine whether additional safety measures could be introduced along the route.
