Police say they are treating an incident which took place in Markethill on Saturday as a sectarian-motivated hate crime.
A video widely circulated on social media shows a car apparently being targeted and an Armagh GAA flag ripped from it.
A number of sectarian slurs were lobbed at at least one occupant of the car, which included “fenian b***h” and “fenian b*****d”.
In a statement, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Police are investigating a report of a number of offences including theft and vehicle interference which occurred at the Main Street area of Markethill on Saturday, May 13.
“Enquiries are continuing and the incident is being treated as a sectarian-motivated hate crime.”
They have appealed to anyone with information in relation to contact them on 101.
