A man was hit on the back of the head and taken to hospital as he got out of his car in the driveway of a house in Armagh on Tuesday night.
And today (Thursday), police issued an appeal for help in catching those responsible.
The incident happened at around 8.35pm in the Drumgaw Road area, which leads off the Markethill Road on the outskirts of the city.
The 55-year-old had been parking his car in the driveway and was assaulted by two males as he got out of the vehicle. He was struck on the back of the head and sustained an injury which required medical treatment.
The two assailants ran off towards the junction of Markethill Road.
A white car was seen in the area, parked at a gateway to a field at the junction of Markethill Road and Drumgaw Road.
Police are keen to speak to the owner of this vehicle or anyone who noticed it parked there.
