Man due in court on terror-related charge

A 51-YEAR-OLD man is due to appear at Belfast Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday) charged with membership of a proscribed organisation.

The man had been arrested in Jonesborough in South Armagh on Thursday.

He was facing questioning linked to police inquiries into the death of father-of-two Robert McCartney.

The 33-year-old – from the Short Strand – was stabbed to death outside Magennis’ bar in Belfast eight years ago.
