The news has been welcomed by local SF Councillor Roisin Mulgrew (pictured in Camlough), who said: “The works did cause major disruption for many but, hopefully, most will be pleased with the outcome.
“I have talked to the contractors and they inform me that they will be pushing on with completing the footpath, lighting and markings.
“Hopefully all will be done and dusted by the time the schools reopen.
“I commend all for their patience. I would ask all motorists and pedestrians to continue to take care whilst using this stretch of road.”
