Young Co Armagh father who passed away in prison to be buried on Friday

A young Co Armagh man who passed away suddenly in prison last week will be buried on Friday.

Daniel McConville, from Monbrief Walk in Lurgan, died in Maghaberry Prison last Thursday morning.

He was 22-years-old.

Ronnie Armour, Director General of the Northern Ireland Prison Service, speaking at the time of the death said: “On behalf of the Northern Ireland Prison Service, I would like to extend my sympathy to the family of the prisoner. My thoughts are with them at this difficult time.”

Daniel was the dearly loved son of Paul and Michelle and loving father of Ethan and Ella and brother of James, Michael, Paula, Zoe and Christine.

His funeral will take place from his family home, 32 Derryall Road, on Friday at 9.15am to St. Paul’s Church for 10am Requiem Mass with burial afterwards in St. Colman’s Cemetery.

Daniel’s wake will take place at the family home from Wednesday.

He is deeply loved and missed by his parents, brothers, sisters, aunties, uncles, cousins and entire family circle.
