Boyce Engineering with Carla Lockhart and Arlene Foster

A Magheralin engineering business is continuing to lead the way in showcasing that world-class businesses can operate successfully in Upper Bann.

DUP MLA Carla Lockhart hosted a visit by her party leader Arlene Foster MLA and the Chief Executive of Invest NI Alistair Hamilton to Boyce Engineering recently.

Boyce Engineering are located in Magheralin and run by brothers George and Brian Boyce.

They specialise in precision engineering and have close links to the aerospace industry in Northern Ireland and across the world.

The visit gave the management and staff an opportunity to speak about current projects and the ongoing and expected growth of both their workforce and order book.

Not only are they a growing local company but they have been recognised with awards in the aerospace arena.

Speaking after the visit Ms Lockhart said: “I want first of all to thank the staff and management of Boyce Engineering for hosting us and to Arlene and Alistair for taking the time to visit.

“This was without doubt a very worthwhile visit and one which shows the ongoing success of locally owned businesses in Upper Bann.

“Boyce Engineering is continuing to prosper and grow under the management team and have been recognised within the industry for their expertise.

“I want to congratulate George and Brian for their ongoing success and wish them well for their expansion going forward.

“This was a very timely visit and I trust that this visit will help profile and showcase the world-class businesses we have in Upper Bann.”
