Two homes burgled and ransacked as detectives appeal for information

Detectives are appealing for information following a report of a burglary at residential premises at the Wood Lane End area of Lurgan yesterday (Thursday).

Detective Sergeant Wilson said: “Sometime between 6pm and 9:30pm, it was reported that entry was gained to a house in the area. It was reported that a number of rooms inside the property were ransacked, with a sum of money and a quantity of jewellery taken during the incident.

“Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during this period of time to contact them on 101 quoting reference 1965 26/11/20.”

It comes as police also investigate a burglary at a residential premises in the Danesfort area of Moira on Thursday evening.

At around 9.15pm, police received reports that entry had been gained to a house in the area.

It is believed that the incident took place sometime between 3pm and 9pm and the property was ransacked. It is not believed anything was taken from the property.

Detectives would appeal to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the area during this period of time to contact them on 101 quoting reference 1947 26/11/20.
