‘Tough call’ as owners put ice cream business in Lurgan on the market

A well-known Lurgan ice cream shop has been put on the market.

The owners of Morelli’s Ice Cream have cited “family reasons” as the motivation behind the move, which could prove a lucrative business opportunity for a potential buyer.

The Union Street business has been listed for sale at £18,000 with James Duggan estate agents.

The buyer will be required to pay £400 per month in rent, plus rates on a 12-month rolling contract, which can be negotiated for fixed term.

The business comes with extensive fixtures and fittings included, along with2,400 social media followers and two part-time staff members.

The PropertyPal listing reads: “An exciting chance to purchase an established business in the heart of Lurgan. Due to family reasons the current owner has made the tough call to sell this great business and it could be the business opportunity you have been waiting on.”

The business, previously located on Edward Street, was opened in 2022 by husband and wife Mark and Carla Setchfield.
