‘The kindest and most beautiful soul’ – tributes paid to Co Armagh woman following sudden passing

Annette Breen Mallon

Heartfelt tributes have been paid to Co Armagh woman Annette Breen‑Mallon, remembered by friends and colleagues as “the kindest and most beautiful soul” who “lit up every room with her beautiful smile”.

One tribute described how “the boys you worked with were so fortunate to have you in their corner”, adding: “You always put everyone at their ease with kind words and gentle personality… Annette was amazing to work with and lit up every room with her beautiful smile.”

Another wrote of “a beautiful, kind, thoughtful lady”, while a former classmate recalled: “I am so so sorry to hear about my dear school friend Annette who was such a kind girl.”

Annette, late of Newry and formerly of Blair Drive, Lurgan, passed away unexpectedly at home on May 4, 2026.

She was the dearly beloved wife of Paul and devoted mother of Connor and Christopher, cherished daughter of Sheila and Anthony Breen, loving sister of Sharon and a treasured daughter‑in‑law of Felix and the late Briege Mallon.

Annette was also a much‑loved sister‑in‑law of Stewart, Peter and Maura and a dearly loved aunt of Emma, Jonathan, Niall, Emmett, James and Suzie. Her kindness, her family say, will be deeply missed.

Annette will repose at her sister’s residence, 9 Pier Rampart, Derrytrasna, BT66 6QH, on Wednesday and Thursday from 12 noon to 8pm, where family and friends are welcome to visit and pay their respects.

Funeral will be from her sister’s home on Friday at 10am to St Joseph’s Church, Chapel Road, Meigh, BT35 8JW, for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

“Loved and always remembered by her entire family circle,” the notice reads.

Family flowers only are requested. Donations in lieu, if desired, can be made to Action Mental Health via mcalindenandmurtagh.com.

“Our Lady of Lourdes pray for her.”
