Private ultrasound scanning studio could open in Lurgan town centre

A new private ultrasound scanning studio could be on the way for Lurgan.

An application to open the facility at 41 High Street has been submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council for consideration.

The applicant, Friends Medical Service, with an address in Belfast, is seeking permission for a part change of use at ground floor level.

The intention is open the ultrasound studio, with the application also including a consultation room.

The development would not require any external alterations, council has been told.

The intended site is described as existing offices which had currently been used as a licensed restaurant.

The cost, according to Construction Information Services, is estimated to be in the region of £50,000.

The plans are due to be publicly advertised next week.
