Police have formally identified the body found in the Princess Street area of Lurgan on Saturday afternoon (February 7) as that of 24-year-old Caitlin Green.
The PSNI confirmed that a post-mortem examination has now been completed and that Caitlin’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
Caitlin, who also went by the name Caity, had been reported missing after she was last seen leaving a friend’s home in the Derry Street/Lord Lurgan Park area at around 12.30pm on Saturday, January 31.
An extensive search operation was launched in the days that followed, with police appealing to the public for assistance and carrying out widespread enquiries across the town.
Her disappearance had prompted significant concern within the local community, with many residents responding to police appeals to check sheds, garages and outbuildings in nearby areas.
In a statement, police said their thoughts remain with Caitlin’s family at this deeply difficult time.
No further details have been released.
