Police appeal as man chased and subjected to sectarian threats

Sectarian threats were made against a man during an early morning New Year’s Day incident in Co Armagh.

It happened at around 7.40am yesterday (Friday), and police in Lurgan are investigating.

A man was approached by two other males in the Hill Street/Edward Street area of the town.

According to police, the man was chased and sectarian threats made against him.

The two responsible are believed to have got out of a dark coloured saloon car which then made off in the direction of Union Street.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the police in Lurgan on the non-emergency number 101, quoting Ref 793 of 01/01/16.
