A 69-year -man has been charged with a number of offences including attempted murder and wounding with intent.
He is expected to appear at Craigavon Magistrates Court tomorrow morning, Wednesday, December 20.
As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
The charges follow a serious assault in the Derrytrasna Lane area of Craigavon on Monday.
It has been reported that police had responded to a report of an altercation at an address at around 7.40pm and found a man aged in his 50s had been stabbed several times.
He remains in a serious condition.
