One person rushed to Royal Victoria Hospital following two-vehicle Lurgan collision

One person was rushed to hospital in Belfast following a serious crash in Lurgan on Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews, including the NI Air Ambulance, were despatched to the two-vehicle collision on the Annesborough Road.

A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said they received a call shortly after midday.

“NIAS despatched two ambulances, one rapid response paramedic team, one officer, HEMS attended via road, one doctor and the Charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board were also tasked to the incident,” they said.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital.”

The patient’s condition is unknown at this stage.

Police confirmed that one person was taken to hospital and that the road was reopened following its closure for a number of hours.

There were no arrests.
