Detectives investigating the murder of Odhrán Kelly in Lurgan have charged a 30-year-old woman with perverting the course of justice.
She is due to appear before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, January 5.
The woman’s arrest came as police carried out searches on Wednesday, in the area where Odhrán’s body was discovered on the morning of Sunday, December 3.
She is the fifth person to be arrested and charged in connection with the 23-year-old healthcare assistant’s murder.
As is usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.
Shane Harte, 31, of Headington House in Lurgan, appeared before Lisburn Magistrates’ Court on Monday charged with murder. He was remanded into custody.
Gary Damien Scullion – also 31 – from Edward Street in Lurgan, appeared before Craigavon Magistrates’ Court the previous Friday also charged with Odhrán’s murder. He too was remanded into custody.
Andrea Catherine Theresa Stevenson, 43, from Edward Street in Lurgan, and 36-year-old Stephanie McClelland, from Shan Slieve in the town, were also charged with assisting an offender by helping with “the disposal of the body of Odhrán Kelly”.
