Detectives from Serious Crime Branch have launched a murder investigation after the body of a 29 year old man was discovered at a house in Co Armagh.
The discovery was made in the Manor Drive area of Lurgan this afternoon, Thursday.
Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Talbot said: “Police were called to the scene shortly after 2.50pm this afternoon and the body of the man was discovered inside a house. A post mortem examination will take place to determine the cause of death.
“As part of the investigation police have arrested two males and a female all in their thirties. They are all currently in police custody.
“I would ask anyone in the community who knows anything about the circumstances to contact police and give us this information. Please contact Detectives at Lurgan on 101 quoting reference number 639 of 09/03/17 or alternatively information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
Upper Bann Ulster Unionist Doug Beattie MC MLA said: “It is with shock, and sadness, that I learn tonight of the loss of young man’s life in Lurgan.
“Circumstances are uncertain at this time, however, it remains that a family is left in mourning tonight and my condolences are with them as they face the times ahead.
“In the meantime, I appeal for anyone with any piece of information, no matter how small to contact the PSNI on 101.”
