A man urinated at the back door of a property in Donaghcloney and attempted to hit a man on the head with a Buckfast bottle.
Sammy Bingham, of Winona Crest, Donaghcloney, admitted being disorderly in the William Street area of the village on November 11 last year.
The 34-year-old also admitted a charge of assault. A charge of causing criminal damage to a police cell van was withdrawn by prosecutors.
He appeared at Craigavon Magistrates’ Court via video link from prison where he was already a sentenced prisoner with a release date due in October.
The defendant began shouting and swearing in public when arrested and in a cell van he took off his shoes and threw them at the ceiling of the vehicle. He also spat inside the cell van.
A defence barrister said the defendant had “consumed too much Buckfast and has very little memory of what was going on”.
Bingham was given a four months prison sentence.
