Man (45) charged with string of burglaries in County Armagh

A 45-year-old man has been charged with a string of six burglaries and a catalogue of motoring offences.

He is due to appear at Lisburn Magistrates’ Court this morning (Thursday).

He was arrested following a burglary in the Church Road area of Portadown yesterday (Wednesday).

Four of the burglaries with which he has been charged occurred in the Lurgan area last October.policetape

Another took place in Derry/Londonderry last July.

The man has also been charged with going equipped to steal.

The motoring charges relate to a road traffic collision in Lurgan last year.

The man has been charged with dangerous driving, not having insurance or driving licence, and failing to stop or remain at the scene of an accident and failing to report.

As is normal procedure, all of the charges will be reviewed by the PPS.
