A second man has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Lurgan man Shane Whitla last week.
Detectives investigating the 39-year-old’s killing in Lord Lurgan Park last Thursday evening have arrested a 25-year-old man.
He was arrested this morning, Tuesday, and has been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.
It comes just a short time after the first man arrested on suspicion of Mr Whitla’s murder was released on bail.
The 29-year-old was arrested in the immediate aftermath of the killing.
Police were granted two extensions to the maximum time allowed to question a suspect.
Mr Whitla was shot a number of times, including once in the back. He died as a result of the a gun shot wound to the chest.
