A Lurgan shopper is celebrating a life‑changing windfall after scooping an incredible £300,000 on a scratch card bought in the town.
The £5 National Lottery scratch card was purchased at Mace Victoria on Victoria Street, with staff still buzzing after learning of the six‑figure win.
Store owner Anthony McDonald was understandably over the moon to hear one of his customers had hit the jackpot.
“We’re absolutely thrilled for the customer who bought the winning scratchcard,” he said.
“It’s fantastic to have such positive news in our community. This is the first major win from our store – and hopefully not the last!”
For now, the identity of the winner remains under wraps, but there’ll no doubt be a few side-eyes cast at any extravagant spenders in thearea in the coming days and weeks.
