Honesty is best policy as driver appeals for owner after hitting car

Did you notice damage to your car over the weekend?

It seems that honesty is the best policy for this one particular driver.

After hitting a car in a chapel car park in Lurgan over the weekend, the driver has got in touch with police in a bid to find the owner of the car which was damaged over the weekend.

Through their Facebook, a PSNI spokesperson in Lurgan said: “Normally when we appeal for vehicles due to RTCs, we’re looking for the offending vehicle. Now, we’re looking for the victims vehicle!

“A very honest person has contacted us to say that they clipped a parked car on North Street, Lurgan, on Saturday 25th at 630pm.

“The car was a Toyota and it was parked close to St Peter’s chapel at the time. By the time the car that clipped it turned and came back, the Toyota was gone.

“If you’ve noticed damage to your car and you were parked up there at that time, please contact us on 101, and we’ll facilitate the exchange of details.”

The incident number is 1182 of 25/11/17.
