Female pedestrian taken to Royal Victoria hospital after collision in Lurgan

A woman has been taken to hospital following a collision with a van in Lurgan this morning (Monday).

The incident happened at around 10am in the Moore’s Lane area of the town – just off Millennium Way.

Emergency services tasked to the scene and treated a female pedestrian before she was rushed to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

There are currently no details on the severity of the woman’s injuries at this stage.

The PSNI is appealing form information and witnesses.

A spokesperson said: “Police are investigating a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Moore’s Lane, Lurgan, which occurred at approximately 10am today.”

A spokesperson for the NI Ambulance Service said: “The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 10am on Monday morning following reports of an incident in the Moore’s Lane area, Lurgan.

“NIAS despatched one emergency crew to the incident. The Charity Air Ambulance were also tasked with the incident.

“Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital by ambulance.”
