Fane Valley is planning to build a new multi-million industrial development at its Moira HQ, Armagh I can reveal.
Details of the massive new facility, which would stretch to close to 60,000 sq ft, will be unveiled to the public early in the New Year.
A pre-planning notice has been submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.
These are required to brief officials of the intention to lodge an application for a development which falls within the ‘major’ category.
A public information drop-in event will be held at Maghaberry Community Centre in mid-January when more details of what is being proposed will be made known.
And the feedback received will be used to shape an application for full approval.
What is known at this stage is that Fane Valley C0-Op Society Ltd is planning an industrial building, together with storage yard, landscaping and ancillary works.
It would be constructed on “lands approximately 130m northeast of 20 Glenavy Road, Moira”.
Local political representatives and neighbouring properties and businesses – which includes Greenfield Fertilisers and AB Pneumatics, DWS Controls Ltd, BPS Group and Spectrum Advice Network – will be notified of the information event by letter during the first week of the New Year.
