Plans are in place to upgrade the facilities at a local intermediate football club’s home ground with Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council planners currently considering the application.
If approved, the home of Dollingstown Football Club, Planters Park, will see its changing rooms and club house replaced and revamped.
At present, according to the planning application document, the club house and changing room take up a combined 215m2 of the 0.4 hectare site.
The new facilities will see the total floor space increased to 372m2. The revamped facilities are not anticipated to bring any new vehicles or visitors to the site.
The club say there are 20 vehicles attending the ground daily and this equates to approximately 50 people.
Following the new development the surface water at Planters Park will be disposed of by existing drainage and soakways while foul sewage will be disposed via an existing septic tank.
The application was submitted by agent Bryson Architects on behalf of Dollingstown FC on Thursday, February 25.
The neighbour consultation period will expire on Tuesday, March 30, with the standard consultation period due to expire on Friday, April 2.
The application will be advertised until Friday, April 9.
