Distinctive nature of bespoke bike ‘could prove key’ after it was stolen in Lurgan

Police are investigating the theft of a distinctive mountain bike from private property in Lurgan.

The bespoke bike (pictured) was hand-built using a Giant Trance frame and has been finished with a bright orange and black coating as well as non-standard accessories.

Police believe the unique nature of this bike could prove key.

Constable John Anderson said: “This bike will stand out as it has been custom built and is very recognisable. The bike was reported as being taken from the owner’s home in the Caroline Avenue area of Lurgan on October 19.

“Although two weeks have passed since it went missing, this bike may well be offered for sale. Cycling is very popular in Northern Ireland and it’s a close-knit community so we’d ask if you see this bike for sale, you would contact us on 101 quoting the unique reference number 893 19/10/21.”

A report can also be submitted online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org/.
