DUP MLA Carla Lockhart has hosted a group of naval cadets from Lurgan Junior High School at Stormont.
The group, under the leadership of David McCausland, visited Parliament Buildings to learn about the history of the building and have a tour.
The naval cadets meet each week in the Lurgan area and is an insight into what the military offers in terms of team building, training and a future career.
Speaking after the tour Carla Lockhart said: “I have been engaged with the naval cadets on a number of occasions and it was great to host them at Stormont.
“The building holds so much history and it was a strategic building to protect during the German blitz which hit Belfast during the Second World War.
“I was delighted to see them once again and answer their inquisitive and challenging questions.”
