Co Armagh house fire being treated as ‘intent to endanger life’

Fire broke out around 3.30am on Sunday

A fire in the early hours of this morning is being treated as arson, police say.

Detectives in Lurgan are appealing for witnesses following the blaze at a home in the Connolly Place area of the town in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Detective Inspector Stephen Harvey said: “The police alongside the NIFRS attended the scene shortly after 3:00am, which police are treating as arson with intent to endanger life.

“The fire caused extensive damage to the property.

“Thankfully nobody was in the house at the time.”
