A county Armagh drug dealer was sentenced to two years in prison at Craigavon Crown Court earlier today (Friday).
Dean Smith, 31, of Queens Walk in Lurgan, was convicted on two charges of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs and for possessing Class B controlled drug.
He appeared in court following searches carried out by the PSNI Crime Support Team in the Belfast and county Armagh areas in November 2016.
Following the sentencing, constable Hawkins said he hoped it would act as a deterrent for would-be dealers.
“This is another example of the PSNI Crime Support Team working collaboratively with Local Policing Teams in other districts to thwart organised criminality,” he said.
“This sentence should be a stark deterrent to those engaged in the supply of drugs.”
