Approval sought to convert pet shop and store into TWO new hot food outlets

Development located within existing Costcutter/Texaco filling station complex

A planning application has been submitted in the hope of opening TWO new hot food outlets in Co Armagh.

The applicant is hoping to be given a ‘change of use’ approval for the development.

The site in question is the Costcutter and Texaco filling station at Banbridge Road in Lurgan.

The applicant – Simon Chen – is seeking approval to create two hot food outlets on the site.

These would be based on premises which are currently used as a commercial pet shop and fuel store within the filling station complex.

Papers have been submitted to Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council.

They indicate that, if given the go-ahead two new jobs could be created.

No indication has been given as to the nature of the intended ‘hot food’ to be served.

The application, currently being advertised, is under consideration and a decision is expected in the coming months.
