Loughgall is in the running for another blooming success!
The Co Armagh village is short-listed in this year’s Ireland Best Kept Towns Awards.
The awards presentation will take place at Farmleigh House, at Phoenix Park, in Dublin, on Tuesday, June 16.
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council is delighted that Loughgall is once again earning recognition for the collective efforts of all in the village in enhancing their environment.
The council is expected to be represented at the awards by Alderman Arnold Hatch.
The village of Loughgall has long enjoyed much success at these competitions thanks to the efforts of the hard-working improvements committee and council staff.
It has enjoyed numerous wins at Ulster in Bloom competitions and, just last year, it was awarded the NITB Local Authority Giro d’Italia Award for demonstrating the best support for the ‘Giro d’Italia’ legacy theme, while being placed third in the ‘small village’ category.
Loughgall last won an All-Ireland title in 2009.
Good luck Loughgall!
