Lough Neagh Rescue volunteers involved in Christmas Day search for missing man

It really is 365 days a year for Lough Neagh Rescue volunteers who, on Christmas morning, were involved in the continued search for a missing man.

Alan Whiteside, who was last seen in Maddens Bar, Antrim on Sunday, December 17 at approximately 11pm, remains a missing persons investigation.

Alan is 33 and would be from the Antrim area.

Searches have been carried out in the local area, as well as Lough Neagh and these operations – by full time emergency services and volunteers – continue to be carried out.

If anyone has any information that could help police locate Alan please get in touch on either 101 or 999 quoting serial 1781 of the 19/12/23

A spokesperson for Lough Neagh Rescue said: “Lough Neagh Rescue volunteers and our colleagues from the Community Rescue Service have been working tirelessly from Wednesday December 20 to locate a missing person from the Antrim town area.

“Volunteers will continue our searches over the festive period as well as remaining on call to assist in other emergency taskings.”
