A factory worker was taken to hospital suffering from burns after an early morning blaze.
Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said a large plume of black smoke – emanating from a factory in the Carnbane Industrial Estate in Newry – led to repeat calls from members of the public.
Local crews attended shortly before 8am and dealt with a fire in machinery.
Small quantities of chemicals were also present, but firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze using a main jet and a thermal imaging camera.
The employee – aged in his mid-20s – was taken to hospital to be treated for burns to his hands.
