A “suspicious male” has been witnessed “trying doors” in Keady after speaking to a resident through a Ring doorbell.
The incidents occurred on Monday December 29 in the vicinity of Annvale Gardens and Annvale Manor.
In light of a number of recent burglaries, SDLP Councillor Thomas O’Hanlon is urging members of the public in the area of the town to be vigilant as a result of the unusual behaviour.
Said Cllr O’Hanlon: “Yesterday, a male attempted to enter a property in the Annvale Gardens area of Keady.
“He spoke to the homeowner via her doorbell camera, asking her to come to the door. She was not at home.
“The same male was later observed in Annvale Manor, trying several doors in the development.”
Providing a brief description of the man, the Cllr explained he is “tall and slim” with “slicked-back black hair”, and a “broad local accent”.
Footage has been shared with the PSNI.
Residents of the area are advised to report any suspicious activity to Police on 101.
