Police appeal after van stolen from technician in Keady is recovered but tools still missing

The vehicle was later recovered in the Newtown Road area of Armagh on Saturday evening at around 7pm

Police are investigating the report of the theft of a van in the Granemore Road area of Keady on Saturday evening.

It was reported to police that at around 4.30pm a van had been stolen, whilst a technician had been working on the Granemore Road.

It is reported that an unknown male had taken the keys and the van was driven off from the area.

The vehicle was later recovered in the Newtown Road area of Armagh on Saturday evening at around 7pm.

A number of tools were stolen from the van and have not been recovered.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “Enquiries are continuing and we would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious at the time of the incident, or who may have saw the van, or who may have dashcam footage to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1182 of 21/11/20.

“Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
