Keady District LOL enjoyed a Mayoral reception after presenting £6,000 to two charities raised through their Twelfth of July events.
The Officers and Brethren of Keady District LOL No 8 presented two cheques – each for £3000 – were presented to Craigavon Area Hospital Neo-Natal Unit and Fire Lily (a charity which provides pamper items for women journeying through cancer).
The money represents the proceeds from some of the District’s 12th July events (and other fundraising) as the hosts for the County Armagh demonstration in the town this year.
Several of the senior Co Armagh Grand Orange Lodge Officers were pleased to attend and congratulated the South Armagh District on a very successful and enjoyable Twelfth on what was a very hot Summer’s day.
Said a representative of Keady District LOL: “Very well done to the Officers and Brethren of Keady District and many thanks to Alderman Stephen Moutray, Lord Mayor, for hosting the enjoyable evening.”
