Keady camog puts champagne on ice to play in final 48 hours after wedding

Katrina was hoping to add a tenth county title to an impressive collection of honours

Forty-eight hours after wedding the love of her life a county Armagh camog donned her kit for another love.

Keady woman Katrina Kinsella married Sean Renaghan at St Patrick’s Church on Friday afternoon.

However, the champagne was put on ice as she prepared for a county championship final between Keady and local rivals Granemore on Sunday.

The new Mrs Renaghan was hoping to add a tenth county medal to an impressive collection but Granemore fended her and her teammates off to collect back-to-back county titles.

Speaking to The Irish News, Mrs Renaghan said: “After the wedding, I still had to pinch myself because so much has changed in just a few days. This morning I woke up next to my husband and a few hours later I was playing a camogie final, it’s crazy.

“Even though we didn’t win, it was an incredibly special day for me and I’m incredibly proud of the team.”

Katrina and Sean fly off to Lanzarote for their honeymoon on Wednesday.
