Keady business targeted by lowlife thieves hours after making generous donation to Christmas appeal

A family-run business in Keady has lost thousands of pounds worth of equipment just hours after making a generous donation to a community Christmas appeal in the town.

Keady Garden Sheds had a trailer, which was full of other materials, late on Tuesday night.

It came after the business reached out to local Councillor Darren McNally and make a donation for a Christmas hamper appeal.

The Sinn Fein representative said he could not believe it when he heard the news earlier today.

Speaking to Armagh I, Councillor McNally, commented: “Joe McGale [owner] reached out to me when he heard we were doing the Christmas hamper appeal and offered a very kind donation.

“I was literally just about to publicly thank the family business when I heard the news they had thousands stolen. I couldn’t believe it; I am absolutely gutted for them.

“This business – like others in the town – has gone above and beyond to help in their local community only to have lowlife criminals target them like this – it’s absolutely sickening.”

Councillor McNally urged anyone with any information to contact police on 101.
