A flat above a supermarket in Keady was raided by customs this morning (Thursday).
A large police presence was spotted in the town earlier today as officers from HMRC and the PSNI raided a property in Victoria Street – above Rices Supermarket.
However, the reasoning for the operation remains unclear this evening with a police spokesperson confirming that the HMRC took the lead.
And when approached for comment a HMRC spokesperson said: “We can confirm that we have officers working in the Keady area today, but are unable to release further information at this stage.”
