Cubes of laundered fuel dumped in rural road outside Keady

A number of laundered diesel pods have been unceremoniously dumped on a rural road on the outskirts of Keady.

In what appears to a growing trend once more, the latest incident occurred on the Upper Darkley Road – a hot-spot in recent times.

Sinn Fein Councillor Brona Haughey slammed those behind this mess (main images).

“This ongoing criminal activity cannot continue; ratepayers are paying the bill for this behaviour,” she slammed.

“These people clearly have no regard for the environment and the damage this does to wildlife and our ecosystem.”

It comes less than a week after dozens of tyres were dumped on the Loughaveely Road in south Armagh.

Sinn Fein Councillor Barra O’Muiri branded the person responsible a “scumbag”.

“Their selfish view of money and life in general mean that they have total disregard for the beautiful environment in which they live,” said Councillor O’Muiri.

“They should be ashamed of themselves..it is you the ratepayer who will foot the bill. This is not acceptable is South Armagh.”
