St Patrick’s High School Keady pupils, Fiadhna Loughran and Eimear McGeary, have been awarded a Camogie Colleges All Star reflecting their exceptional skill, dedication and outstanding performance. As a school we are extremely proud of this achievement.
Fiadhna, a year 14 student won her successive All Star, this year and last year – quite an achievement!
This is not the first time that Fiadhna’s talent has been acknowledged. In year 12, Fiadhna was awarded a QUB Future Star Award.
Fiadhna plays club Camogie and Football with St Mary’s Granemore and represents County Armagh.
Fiadhna’s preferred position is between midfield and half forward. Her senior team won Senior Club Championship, Ulster Club Championship and Junior All Ireland Club Championship.
The accolades that Fiadhna has acquired are wholly deserved, from captaining teams at all ages, wining young senior player of the year, nominated for Ulster Player for the Year and winning Player of the match on multiple occasions.
Fiadhna is dual player and has enjoyed great success with ladies Gaelic football too.
Eimear and Fiadhna
Similarly, Eimear is a dual player for club, school and county. She plays her club camogie for St. Joseph’s Madden and football for Armagh Harps.
At club level she has won league and championship titles at U14, U16, U17 and U18 in both camogie and football. She was selected on the 2024 QUB future Stars Camogie Team.
She was selected as a member of the Ulster Academy camogie squad in 2023 following her performances for the Armagh U-16 team that narrowly lost in the All Ireland Final.
With Armagh camogie she has won Ulster titles at U14, U15, U16 and U18 level and competing in All Ireland Finals at U15, U16 and Minor, winning a national title at U15 level. In football she captained the u14 team to an Ulster Final, secured an Ulster title at u16 and reached an All Ireland final at u18 in 2024.
Eimear has a strong music background playing both classical and traditional music. Playing the fiddle she has won County, Ulster, and All Ireland titles in both the Scór na Nog and Fleadh Cheoil na héireann.
Both Fiadhna and Eimear are exceptional role models for others, their work ethic and commitment to Sport is remarkable both in school, with their club and county. Congratulations!
