Joy in Keady as £10,000-winning scratchcard bought in town supermarket

Recognise this?

No. Probably not – at least most of us won’t and probably never will!

It’s a £10,000 winning scratchcard – and it was bought in Keady on Saturday night.

Local woman Patricia Shortt really did strike it rich when she popped into Rice’s Supermarket.

The scratchcard, which carries a top prize of £4 million, came up trumps.

In the third game of the multi-game card, players have to reveal two winning symbols and, if they scratch on and uncover a match, they win the given amount.

The card revealed a stack of coins and, low and behold, it matched with another stack of coins.

But imagine the sheer joy and disbelief when scratching the amount below to see how much you have won – and revealing a cool £10,000!Scratch Card

Hard to take in.

And friends and family of Patricia say it is still sinking in!

And we’re realiably informed that there’s no better person and more deserving and all are quite literally over the moon at Patricia’s scratchcard success.

As for Rice’s Supermarket, they are posing the question: “We wonder who’ll be our next big winner?”

A huge well done to you Patricia – enjoy your winnings!

And if anyone has a taxi number to get us to Keady can you please PM us?

We have a good feeling going on here…
