Thousands turned out in Armagh – the Home of St Patrick – to watch on as the community parade made its way through the city.
The popular St. Patrick’s Day community parade is one of the largest and most well-attended parades in the country. Which should come as no surprise given that Armagh – the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland – was home to St. Patrick himself.
The parade travelled along some of the oldest parts of the city taking in Irish Street, Ogle Street, Thomas Street, Market Street, Upper English Street, Lower English Street, Shambles and Cathedral Road.
