House ransacked during burglary in Armagh

Money and jewellery have been taken during a burglary at a house in Armagh this week.

Sergeant Gavin McComiskey said it happened between 11am on Tuesday, March 17, and 12.55pm yesterday (Wednesday).

“Entry was forced to a house in Ashley Park,” he explained. “The property was ransacked and cash and jewellery were taken.

“We would like to hear from anyone who has information which may assist our investigation. We can be contacted in Armagh on 101, quoting ref: 833 180315.

“We would also remind all householders to take steps their property is secure whether occupied or unoccupied. Don’t forget to close and lock all windows and doors and use timer switches for lights and televisions when your home is empty.

“If you would like more advice on keeping your home secure, you can contact your local crime prevention officer on 101.”
