A new historical book featuring a compilation of anecdotes and factual stories about Madden is set to be launched this week.
The book, entitled ‘Madden. Memories. Milestones. Music.’ has been has been compiled by John Woods, Eileen Maguire and Ryan McParland, with many invaluable contributions by the local community.
Contributions have also been provided by “folk living further afield” who were formerly of Madden and “editorial guidance” was provided by author and creative writer, Fionnuala Cassidy, with graphic design by Noel Comac of Comac Design.
The book is a compilation of anecdotes, factual articles, stories of local interest, and yarns featuring much loved people, places, culture, and traditions that have been preserved within the pages as a keepsake to treasure.
The launch event – on Thursday December 11, 7.30pm, in Armagh City Hotel – will include local musicians, and readings from contributors. Admission is free.
John, Eileen and Ryan would like to take the opportunity to extend thanks to all who gave their time, contributed stories, memories and photographs.
