HEALTH chiefs in Armagh have warned the public to be on their guard after it emerged a recruitment email scam is currently doing the rounds.
The Southern Health Trust revealed today (Thursday) that hoaxers – claiming to represent the Armagh-based Trust – have been sending out emails to people, informing them they have been selected for a job at Daisy Hill Hospital.
“These emails are fraudulent and have not been issued by Daisy Hill Hospital or the Southern Trust,” a spokeswoman said.
“Our advice to anyone who receives such an email is to delete it as soon as possible. Personal details should not be released in response to the emails.
“The Southern Trust does not issue direct emails regarding recruitment, and will never ask individuals to supply personal information via email, or ask you to pay for any recruitment or immigration services.
“The Trust will only make an offer of appointment for a post in response to an advertisement and for which the individual has been through a selection process.”
Anyone in any doubt can contact the Recruitment and Selection Services Team on recruitment.services@southerntrust.hscni.net or telephone 028 3741 2551.
“All our recruitment advertising and application is done through the secure website www.hscrecruit.com,” the spokeswoman added.
